Donegal Celtic Ladies FC

Last Game of the season ends in 3-3 draw with League runners-up Craigavon

Donegal Celtic finished their campaign with a thrilling 3-3 draw at home to pre season favourites AFC Craigavon. DC found themselves one down at half time thanks to a brilliantly struck free kick by a Craigavon central defender (sorry i dont know your name) into the top corner. Straight after the break DC were caught sleeping at the back as AFC went further ahead with a delightful chip over the home keeper. This seemed to kick start DC as almost instanly the pull one back with a sweet half volley from young starlet Lauren Moore (Remember the name!) With 15 minutes to go AFC regained their two goal advantage after DC goallie Christine Drain did well to block the initial effort, her defenders were not so alert as the failed to react giving AFC a simple tap in.  DC were not to going to lie down though and they showed the fighting spirit they had to claw their way back into the game. It was Lauren Moore (Remember the name!) who got on the score sheet, firing home from close range after good approach play by Emma Morgan. 5 minutes from time DC got their well deserved equaliser as N.I international Louise Irvine fired home to give her side a share of the points. Over all a great avert for Ladies Soccer
